Gems are the powerful stones which symbolizes the power you have. More level of gems means more power. You can get one level 1 gem for free while signing up. You can get 2 more gems of level 5 if you subscribe to the heroic tier which will make your total gem to 3. If you subscribe to legendary tier you can get 4 more gems which will make your total gem to 5. The level of gem keeps on increasing with time as per the values flow rate you have. If you use a gem, new gem is produced in certain time as per the values flow rate in same gem slot.
